MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Wisconsin’s COVID-19 activity continues to trend downwards, but so too do the number of people getting tested.
Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported 1,435 new COVID-19 cases Monday, down from Sunday’s 1,826 cases.
An additional 5,067 people tested negative Monday, making the positivity rate 22%, lower than last week Friday’s 31.8%
DHS also reports eight more deaths bringing the total to 4,425 in the state.
The state considers more than 415,000 people to have recovered from the virus with 36,736 active cases.
Since the pandemic began, there have been 458,612 total cases and nearly 2.3 million negative tests.
