MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The COVID-19 pandemic is continuing grow in Wisconsin.
The state recorded 7,497 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday for a total of 293,388 since the onset of the pandemic. Another 58 deaths were reported, for a total of 2,515 since the pandemic began.
DHS considered 223,937 patients to have recovered.
The seven day case growth average is 6,209. That’s higher than New York City at the peak of their outbreak in April, which saw a 5,292 seven day average case growth.
As of Thursday morning, there were 14 patients at the state’s alternate care facility at State Fair Park in West Allis.
