OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Public meetings in the City of Oshkosh will be held remotely going forward due to a recent rise in COVID-19 activity in Winnebago County.
The city says in-person attendance is no longer available, and anyone who wishes to attend a meeting will need to do so remotely.
Remote participation is meant for those who wish to make comments or take part in a meeting that isn’t televised, according to the city.
Residents who wish to take part in public comment will need to complete the following steps before the meeting:
- Register to speak by completing an online form on the city’s website
- Find the meeting agenda on the city’s website
- Connect to the meeting 15 minutes prior to the start time
For those who would rather call in, a phone number will be provided on the top of each meeting agenda.
The first remotely-held meeting will be the Oshkosh Common Council meeting next Tuesday, Oct. 13.
