(LEARFIELD) – The Green Bay Phoenix will host the Wisconsin Badgers in an exhibition basketball game in Green Bay tonight.
With a lot of new roster members on this year’s Badgers team, veteran Nolan Winter said that it’s up to vets like him to show the newcomers the way.
Winter said that in his fourth year, he’s doing what he can to lead the team.
Winter was asked about expectations for the team this season.
One of those newcomers is Eian Elmer who joins the team from Miami of Ohio.
He talked about transitioning from Miami of Ohio to Wisconsin and the Big Ten.
Elmer said that he is a fan of the Wisconsin coaching staff taking suggestions from the players.
What will Badger fans see when they watch him?
The exhibition game tips off at 6:30 tonight at the Resch Center.
Badgers lose a commit: The Wisconsin men’s basketball team has suffered a loss even though the season doesn’t start until next month. ESPN is reporting that four-start center prospect Jack Thelen has decommitted. Coach Greg Gard and his assistants are set back to just two prospects in that recruiting class. Thelen had committed last June.
