(WNFL/BREWERS) – The Milwaukee Brewers open a 3-game series in Pittsburgh tonight against the Pirates.
The Brewers will open the series by sending Jacob Misiorowski to the mound. Misiorowski is 14-5 with a 1.95 ERA and has 236 strikeouts.
The Pirates who are 75-75 will send Lake Bachar who is 1-3 with a 3.52 ERA to the mound.
The Brewers are 93-57 and comfortably in first place in the National League Central Division with a 9 1/2 game lead over the second-place Chicago Cubs.

Yelich nominated for Roberto Clemente Award: Major League Baseball today announced that Christian Yelich has been named the Brewers 2026 nominee for the Roberto Clemente Award presented by Capital One, one of baseball’s most prestigious individual honors acknowledging community and philanthropic commitment. This is Yelich’s second time receiving the honor with his first nomination in 2023.
The Roberto Clemente Award is the annual recognition of a player from each MLB Club who best represents the game of baseball through extraordinary character, community involvement, philanthropy and positive contributions, both on and off the field. As part of the annual program, each MLB Club nominates one player to be considered for the league-wide award in tribute to Clemente’s achievements and character.
Tonight celebrates the 25th annual Roberto Clemente Day, which was established by Major League Baseball to honor Clemente’s legacy and to formally acknowledge Club nominees of the Roberto Clemente Award. As part of the league-wide celebration, the Roberto Clemente Day logo will appear on the bases and official dugout lineup cards and a customized tribute video to Roberto will be shown in all MLB ballparks as well as on MLB Network, MLB.com, Club sites and MLB Social Media Platforms.
