(247NEWSSOURCE) LOS ANGELES – The Milwaukee Brewers scored four late runs to pull away for a 6-2 win over the Dodgers at Chavez Ravine.
Jake Bauers finished 4-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored for Milwaukee, which took three of four in the series.
Bauers talked about the importance of winning the series.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy talked about Bauers’ big day.
Jackson Chourio had 3 hits and scored 3 runs while Andrew Vaughn had 2 hits.
Logan Henderson fired seven innings of one-run ball as he improved to 7-and-2.
Murphy said that Henderson was solid for 7 innings. Henderson lowered his ERA to 2.70.
Henderson said that it was great to get through 7-innings.
He also said it was big to take 3-of-4 from the Dodgers.
Max Muncy and Andy Pages hit solo home runs for LA, which finished 4-and-3 on its homestand.
Tarik Skubal gave up two runs, one earned, in six frames as he fell to 7-and-7 with the loss.
The Brewers now have a record of 77-48 while Atlanta is 74-50 and the Los Angeles Dodgers are 74-51 in the race for the top 2 spots in the National League playoffs.
In the NL Central, the Brewers have a 5-game lead over the second-place Chicago Cubs.
Milwaukee is idle today before opening a 3-game home series against the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday at American Family Field in Milwaukee.
