(LEARFIELD) – The University of Wisconsin’s new athletic director Shawn Eichorst met with the media on Tuesday to talk about his new job of leading the athletic department at the University of Wisconsin.
Eichorts, a Lone Rock, Wisconsin native and UW-Whitewater graduate, said that the program will only be as good as its coaches.
Eichorst talked about Luke Fickell and the success of the program.
Eichorst said that he knows he has to be accessible.
Eichorst said that like Texas, Wisconsin has swag.
Eichorts also talked about NIL, the current driving force in college athletics,and where Wisconsin stands.
Eichorst takes over for Chris McIntosh who left for a position with the Big Ten.
