GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Two beloved summer traditions in Green Bay will unite in one event this year.
For more than two decades, Kids’ Day offered a day of free and discounted activities at various businesses throughout Green Bay and for more than 70 years, the Kiddie Karnival offered families a classic end-of-summer experience built around homemade booths and carnival-style games.
This year, the city is bringing the two events together to create one event that honors the traditions of both and allows for an even bigger day for the community.
Green Bay Kids’ Day Karnival is set for Thursday, July 30 at Bay Beach Amusement Park from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
“I’m thrilled to be able to continue these two incredible city traditions offered by our incredible Parks Department and with the generous support of Children’s Wisconsin,” said Mayor Eric Genrich. “These are the kinds of community events that make Green Bay such a special place to grow up and to raise a family of one’s own, and I can’t wait to see and experience this year’s combined event.”
Additional details about activities, schedules, and event-day information will be shared as July 30 approaches.
