(GREEN BAY ATHLETICS) – On Tuesday morning, the Horizon League office announced the 2026 #HLSB All-League Awards. Six Phoenix earned All-League spots, with three on the first team and three on the second team. Six All-League selections ties the most the Phoenix has received in program history, along with the 2000 and 2021 rosters.
Gracie Anderson, Sara Ebner, and Paige Guse each earned a spot on the All-League First Team, while Sidney LaMotte, Jenna Redders, and Ava Schill got All-League Second Team nods. Madyson Baker was named a Sportsmanship Award Finalist. Guse and Anderson selections also mark the first time in Phoenix history that two freshman were named All-League First Team.
Freshman infielder Paige Guse headlined the group with a First Team selection after leading the team with a .444 batting average in Horizon League play, ranking fifth overall in the conference and second among freshmen. Guse also posted a .483 on-base percentage and a .611 slugging percentage, while driving in 11 runs and scoring 13 times during league action.
Joining Guse on the First Team is Redshirt Sophomore shortstop Sara Ebner, who turned in one of the most consistent offensive seasons in the conference. After being named the Horizon League Co-Player of the Year last year, Ebner led the Horizon League with 26 hits in league play, including a league-best 10 doubles. She also contributed 17 runs scored while batting .413 with a .464 on-base percentage and .540 slugging percentage.
Freshman catcher Gracie Anderson rounded out the Phoenix on the First Team after a standout debut campaign. Anderson posted a.392/.522/.765 slash line, with a 1.287 OPS, the eighth-highest mark in the league in HL games. She added four home runs and drew 14 walks—third in the Horizon League.
Junior infielder Sidney LaMotte was named to the All-League Second Team after leading the Phoenix in power categories during conference play. LaMotte blasted five home runs—tied for fifth in the league—and drove in a team-best 17 runs, ranking ninth in the conference. She compiled a .442 batting average, .500 on-base percentage, and an impressive .860 slugging percentage, good for a 1.360 OPS, which is the fifth-highest mark in the HL. LaMotte was also named Horizon League All-Academic last week.
After being named All-League First Team a year ago, Senior outfielder Jenna Redders also secured Second Team honors, batting .347 in league games with a .407 on-base percentage and .531 slugging percentage. Redders recorded six doubles—tied for seventh in both the league—while adding one home run and 13 RBI, which ranked among the league leaders. Redders was also named Horizon League All-Academic a week ago.
In the circle, junior pitcher Ava Schill was a key contributor for Green Bay throughout conference play. Schill made nine appearances, including six starts, and posted a 4.06 ERA across 31.0 innings—second-lowest in the Horizon League during league games. She also led the team with 17 strikeouts in conference action.
The recognition underscores a strong season for the Phoenix, with a mix of veteran leadership and emerging young talent playing a pivotal role in the team’s success.
The 2026 Horizon League Softball Championships will begin tomorrow in Youngstown, Ohio. Green Bay is set to kick off the tournament against the No. 4-seeded Oakland Golden Grizzlies tomorrow at 11 a.m. CST.
