(BIG EAST) – The BIG EAST announced that Marquette University junior attackman Carsen Brandt has been named to the Weekly Honor Roll for the third time this season following his career-high performance on Saturday at St. John’s.
The Edina, Minnesota native led the way for the Golden Eagles in an 11–10 double-overtime win at St. John’s University, helping Marquette improve to 2–0 in BIG EAST play for the first time since 2022. Brandt recorded career-high seven points on two goals and a career-best five assists, while also adding two ground balls.
The Golden Eagles (6–4, 2–0 BIG EAST) return to action on Saturday, April 11, when they travel to Washington, D.C. to face Georgetown University (5–4, 2–0 BIG EAST). Opening faceoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. CT.

BIG EAST Midfielder of the Week
Hanna Bodner, Marquette, Gr., M
Bodner delivered a dominant all-around performance, totaling eight points while adding 10 draw controls, six ground balls, and three caused turnovers. She opened the week with a goal and two assists at Denver, along with four ground balls, four draw controls, and four caused turnovers. She closed the week with four goals and an assist in a win over Villanova, adding two ground balls, a caused turnover, and six draw controls.
BIG EAST Freshman of the Week
Dani Serrano, Marquette, Fr., A
Serrano led Marquette with nine points in a 1-1 week. She recorded a goal and two assists at Denver and followed with six points on two goals and four assists in a win over Villanova. She currently ranks first in the BIG EAST, averaging 2.23 assists per game.
