Building women’s basketball: Qualifying for the postseason shows that it’s a new day for Wisconsin women’s basketball.
New coach Robin Pingeton led her team into the Women’s Basketball Invitation Tournament and completed a 16-and-18 record.
That’s the most wins for the Badgers in 15 years.
Pingeton hit the ground running, building her roster from the day she arrived.
Just four days after the end of the WBIT, she’s already built a recruiting class that could be one of the best in the program’s history.
Three elite prospects are in-state players. Those 3 include 6′ 3″ Adaline Sheplee of Rice Lake, 6′ 1″ forward Leah Nordin of Shawano and 5′ 9″ guard Gina Janowski of Pewaukee.
