GREEN BAY, WI (WLUK) — A tour bus drove over an embankment and nearly hit a building in Green Bay on Sunday
The Green Bay Police Department says they were dispatched just before 2:45 p.m. to North Webster Avenue near the northbound I-43 exit for the crash, which involved more than 50 passengers.
Officials say the tour bus was coming from Chicago and heading to a casino in Michigan. When exiting I-43, the bus drove over an embankment, which police estimated to be about 4 or 5 feet, and eventually came to a stop in between two nearby warehouses.
It’s unclear what caused the crash, but video footage from a vehicle driving behind the bus is being reviewed by police.
Police say they will determine if charges will be filed against the bus driver.
