(247NEWSSOURCE) – The Packers have reportedly altered the contract of a new addition.
According to Ken Ingalls, Green Bay added $2 million to linebacker Zaire Franklin’s deal for the upcoming season without changing his salary for the 2027 season.
Franklin had 125 total tackles and two sacks this season.
The Packers acquired Franklin from the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for defensive lineman Colby Wooden.
Cha-ching: The NFL Performance-Based Pay program has tucked an extra million dollars into safety Evan Williams’ wallet.
Seventy-two players who took the field for the Packers during the 2025 season pocketed a total of just under 17 million.
Sports Illustrated reports that the program was created in 2002 to supplement players’ salaries.
Lower-paid players benefit the most, for instance, quarterback Clayton Tune, who started for Green Bay in the last game of the season, got a check for almost 58 thousand dollars.
