Over the weekend, Saddler was working at one of the demonstrations that have been taking place in the aftermath of George Floyd's tragic death.
Saddler was asked by a demonstrator if he respected the peaceful protests that were taking place, with Saddler saying that he did have respect for the protests, noting that he would not have bypassed a scheduled day off with family if he didn't care about demonstrators' safety.
Based on this account, it was selfless of Saddler to be working that day.
At one point, Saddler was asked if he would kneel to show support for the 'Black Lives Matter' movement. Saddler responded by saying he would not, stating that he only kneels “for one person.”
Someone in the crowd shouted that the answer was God, which Saddler confirmed.
Saddler is absolutely right for taking this stance. Those of us who are religious should only be kneeling to The Lord (or whichever god that a given person follows).
Hats off to O'Neal Saddler for being such a positive story at a time that has no shortage of negative stories.
