That's turned out to be a great day for the United States, as Trump has gone on to be one of the most successful presidents in our nation's history.
On yesterday's five year anniversary of that great day, the DNC rolled out an attack ad against President Trump. It claims that Trump is a racist.
The two points that the DNC alleges in an effort to justify this claim are that 'Trump locked brown kids in cages' and that 'Trump praised white supremacists at Charlottesville.'
Let's examine these claims.
As for the 'Trump locked brown kids in cages' claim, the video that the DNC used is from 2014….when Donald Trump was not President…..when Barack Obama was President….and Joe Biden was Vice-President.
So the footage that the DNC is showing and lamenting is actually the fault of their presumed candidate in this November's election, Joe Biden, not Donald Trump.
And as for the 'Trump praised white supremacists' claim, it simply is not true.
Trump denounced all racists present at the violent August 2017 incident in Charlottesville multiple times. He even denounced various white supremacist groups by name. At no time did Trump refer to any of the knowingly violent or racist individuals present in Charlottesville as “very fine people.”
Rather, Trump referred to peaceful protesters who were debating the presence of a statue as “very fine people.” Trump said there were “very fine people” on both sides of that peaceful debate, which took place before the violence and racism broke out.
If the DNC has a problem with people saying that there are “fine people” in groups it acknowledges as racist, it should have a problem with…..Joe Biden, who referred to members of a confederacy group as “fine people” during a U.S. Senate hearing many years ago.
So it seems that the undesirable things that the DNC is accusing Donald Trump of doing actually apply to Joe Biden!
Both of the claims the DNC makes against Trump are based on lies that they're telling you.
Now, you'd think that the DNC would use a factual line of attack against Trump if they had one.
Clearly, the DNC does not have a factual line of attack against Trump, because the DNC is stuck resorting to outright lying about Trump. They're blaming him for what's depicted in footage prior to his time in office and for saying something that they know he never said.
So it seems that even the DNC can't find anything factually negative to say about Trump. If the DNC folks want to get on the right side of history, there's still plenty of time for them to denounce the man their own words would imply they view as a racist, Joe Biden, and endorse Donald Trump.
