GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — It is going to be nice this weekend, which means a lot of people are going to want to get out of their pandemic isolation and enjoy the outdoors.
You can safely go outside, and parks are open all over Northeast Wisconsin–with a few exceptions.
“The wildlife sanctuary buildings are not open right now, our park shelters are not open right now, our playgrounds are not open right now,” said Green Bay Assistant Parks Director James Andersen.
Contact sports aren’t allowed in public parks. That’s on the advice of the CDC and local health officials… but there’s still a lot you can do.
“Walking, biking, hiking with your family, that’s ok,” said Andersen. “We are really encouraging people to follow social distancing norms.”
Social distancing means keeping a distance of at least six feet from other people in public.
