OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The Oshkosh Area Humane Society (OAHS) is stepping up to help area pet owners during Gov. Evers’ “Safer At Home” order.
The organization says anyone in need of a 30-day supply of pet food can call and they will deliver hands-free through May 26 to people in the City of Oshkosh. The delivery option is an expansion of their Community Pet Food Pantry Program.
“We recognize this is a difficult time financially for many people and we don’t want people to be in a position where they feel they may have to surrender their pet because of a lack of funds,” says OAHS Executive Director Joni Geiger.
Geiger says many other shelters and rescues throughout the Fox Valley also have their own food pantry programs.
Those in need of pet food in the Oshkosh area can call (920) 424-2128 and OAHS staff will arrange a pick up or delivery time.
