PULASKI, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Marquis Yachts says it will lay off up to 117 workers, starting in June, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a letter to the state Department of Workforce Development, the company says the layoffs will be staggered: 65 workers on June 26th, 35 workers on July 10th, and 17 workers on August 1st.
“These layoffs are the result of changing business needs due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The layoffs are expected to be temporary, but we do not have an anticipated return date at this time. This notice is based on information currently available to the Company, and will be updated if necessary in light of new information,” states the letter, which is signed by Rob Parmentier, President & CEO.
The letter was dated April 21es.
