OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A teenager charged in connection with an Oshkosh shooting was ordered Thursday to stand trial.
Vautrell Section, 17, faces seven counts, including attempted first-degree intentional homicide for the Aug. 9 incident. He waived a preliminary hearing Thursday. Arraignment is scheduled for Nov. 24, court records show.
According to the Oshkosh Police Department, around 2 p.m., officers received reports of gunfire in the area of Central St. and W. Irving Ave. After canvassing the area, authorities found the victim, a 20-year-old man, with a gunshot wound to his arm.
Police determined the shooting took place in the 600 block of Franklin Street.
In Wisconsin, 17-year-olds are charged in adult court.
