GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — One person was rescued after becoming trapped in sand Wednesday at a Green Bay concrete company.
Firefighters say they were called to Peters Concrete, 1516 Atkinson Ave., around 2:20 p.m. for a report of a person trapped up to their chest.
An urban search and rescue team was called in to help with the rescue.
Crews were able to rescue the victim, who was then taken to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
The rescue took about half an hour.
One firefighter was also injured in the rescue effort. He was treated at the scene and released.
