(WNFL) – Notre Dame’s Kingston Allen who electrified people with his season-opening game against Neenah continues to lead northeast Wisconsin in various football categories, according to www.gobound.com.
In the WNFL listening area, Allen leads all players with 15 total touchdowns. Neenah’s Ashton VanBeek is next with 13.
Allen also leads in rushing touchdowns with 15 while Freedom’s Axzil Eggert is next with 13.
Pulaski’s Anthony Ficarri has 7.
Allen has 1,047 rushing yards through 3 games for a comfortable lead over Luxemburg-Casco’s Eli Derenne who has 532. Greg Salzman of Seymour is next with 502.
Through the air, Freedom’s Owen Henkel and Sevastopol’s Bo Tanck share the lead with 8 passing touchdowns.
New Holstein’s Ely Kohlman has 6 receiving touchdowns with Freedom’s Aidan Aerts next with 5.
West De Pere’s Andrew Greisen leads all quarterbacks in the WNFL listening area with 803 passing yards.
Green Bay Preble’s Harrison Selk is second with 769 and Freedom’s Henkel third with 626.
Tyler Cleven of Green Bay Preble and Cash Kuehn of Sevastopol are 1-2 in receiving yards with 320 and 315 yards, respectively.
The unbeatens: Only 3 Division 1 football teams remain unbeaten after 3 weeks,
Appleton West, Bay Port and West De Pere are all 3-0.
In Division 2, Ashwaubenon and Notre Dame are 3-0 while in Division 3, it’s Green Bay West.
Denmark, Freedom and Little Chute are all 3-0 in Division 4 with New Holstein 3-0 in Division 5.
Bonduel is the lone unbeaten area team at 3-0 in Division 6 while Shiocton is unbeaten at 3-0 in Division 7.
In 8-man football, Algoma is 3-o.
At least 1 unbeaten team will suffer its first loss of the season this Friday when Freedom plays host to Denmark.
Top cross country times: Will Pogonis of Eau Claire Memorial has Wisconsin’s top cross country time so far this season, according to Athletic.net.
Pogonis turned in a time of 15:12.7 at the Augustana Twilight Meet on September 4.
Among area runners, Ezra Treml of Luxemburg-Casco has the state’s 16th best time at 16:04.6. He turned in that time at the Chief Kahquados Invitational that Gibraltar high school hosted.
Seymour’s Logan Boehnlein has the 31st best time of 16:21.3 which he ran at the James Boyd Invitational at Shorewood.
Among girls, Whitefish Bay’s Karstin McCabe has the top time in the state at 17:44.3.
Neenah’s Sam Zilm is sixth with a time of 18:22.2 with she ran at the Neenah Invitational.
Green Bay Preble’s Arya Shefchik is ninth at 18:38.9 with Appleton North’s Eva Busch 13th at 18:40.7. Shefchik record her time at the Freedom Irish Inviational while Busch’s time was at the Neenah Invitational.
Area teams well-represented in volleyball rankings: In Division 1, Oconomowoc is the top-ranked team with Kimberly and Neenah ranked third and seventh, respectively.
In Division 2, Mosinee is ranked No. 1 with Fox Valley Lutheran, Xavier, Luxemburg-Casco and Oconto Falls ranked fifth, sixth, seventh and ninth, respectively.
In Division 3, Watertown Luther Prep is the top team with Brillion ranked fourth.
Division 4 slots McDonell Central in at No. 1 with Shiocton eighth.
Finally, in Division 5, Florence is ranked first with NEW Lutheran coming in at No. 7.
Bay Port, Seymour highly ranked in golf: The Wisconsin Golf Coaches Association poll for week 2 has been released with Bay Port and Kaukauna ranked second and ninth, respectively, in Division 1.
In Division 2, Seymour is ranked No. 1 with Denmark and Wrightstown coming in at No. 7 and No. 8, respectively.
