GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs will be placed on the commissioner exempt list to begin the season.
Jacobs was charged with two misdemeanors last week, including battery and criminal damage to property. Jacobs was originally arrested on May 26th.
He will not be able to play or practice while on the exempt list.
His attorneys have released this statement:

While on the exempt list, Jacobs gets paid and can attend meetings and receive treatment. He stays on the list until commissioner Roger Goodell removes him from the list.
There is no timeline for how long he will be on the list.
He will not count against the teams’ 53-man roster.
According to the NFL’s collective bargaining agreement, whatever time he spends on the list would count to any suspension that may be handed down later.
His court date is Tuesday, November 17th during the Packers bye week.
