GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A motorcyclist is dead and a woman is injured following a multi-vehicle crash on the 172 bridge over the Fox River on Saturday.
Brown County Deputies were called to a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle on the bridge in the Village of Allouez around 9:28 p.m. Saturday.
Preliminary investigation shows two vehicles and one motorcycle were traveling westbound on State Highway 172 over the Fox River when the crash happened.
The driver and sole occupant of a Honda CBR motorcycle was a 20-year-old man from Allouez. He was taken from the scene in critical condition and pronounced dead at a local hospital.
A 75-year-old Green Bay woman driving a Dodge Journey was involved in the crash. She was treated and released from a local hospital with suspected minor injuries while a 20-year-old Green Bay man driving a Porsche Macan was also involved in the crash. Officials did not say if he had any injuries.
The Brown County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene to investigate and process the scene. All four lanes were closed from the time of the crash until about 2 a.m. on Sunday.
Names of the people involved in the crash are not being released at this time. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
