OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Oshkosh Public Library is weighing a partnership with Life TV.
Library officials say discussions are preliminary, and no decisions have been made regarding the possible relocation of a dedicated Life TV studio to the library.
Many details remain to be addressed, including how the partnership would operate, what resources it would require, how it would fit into daily library operations, and any impact on staffing. Questions about facility needs, including whether building modifications would be required to support content production, have not been resolved.
Library leaders believe it is important to consider opportunities that may benefit residents while ensuring any proposal receives thoughtful consideration and careful review.
Under Wisconsin law, the Oshkosh Public Library Board of Trustees has the authority and responsibility to make decisions regarding the use of library facilities. Any proposal involving Life TV would be considered through the board’s review and public decision-making process.
As conversations continue and additional information becomes available, the library says it will provide timely updates to the public and media.
At Tuesday’s Common Council meeting, members voted 4-3 to keep the Life TV channel available on the Spectrum network while moving operations to the library.
