(LEARFIELD/WNFL) – Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Logan Henderson won his sixth straight game in Tuesday night’s 4-2 victory over Pittsburgh.
Henderson limited the Pirates to a pair of runs on four hits and a walk in six strong innings. He struck out 8 to improve to 6-1.
Henderson said that he was happy to get the win but more importantly to get through 6 innings.
Henderson talked about going back out there for the sixth inning.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy said that Henderson was magnificent.
The Pirates scored their runs on solo home runs from Jacob Gonzalez and Endy Rodriguez in the third and fifth innings.
Antonio Senzatela, Abner Uribe and Trevor Megill closed out the game with 3 scoreless innings.
Senzatela talked about his Brewers’ debut after coming over from Colorado.
Jackson Chourio and Andrew Vaughn supplied the power with a pair of home runs.
Chourio went 3-for-4 with a home run in the third inning and a run-scoring single in the fourth while Vaughn’s home run came in the fourth.
Luis Lara drove in the other run with a fifth-inning single.
Kyle Harrison gets the start in game three of the four-game set tonight.
