(WNFL) – Jake Bauers hit a 3-run home run and Brice Turang a 2-run shot in a 5-run fifth inning to lead the Milwaukee Brewers to a 6-2 win over the Los Angeles Angels in Anaheim Friday night.
Shane Drohan pitched a solid 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits and 1 walk while striking out 7. He lowered his ERA to 3.48.
Garrett Anderson, Abner Uribe and Trevor Megill finished up the game with 3 scoreless innings.
Angels starting pitcher Ryan Johnson allowed 5 runs in 4 1/3 innings and took the loss.
The 2 teams meet again tonight in Anaheim.
The Brewers will send Robert Gasser to the mound. He is 3-4 with a 4.71 ERA.
The Angels will counter with Jose Soriano who is 9-6 with an ERA of 3.29.
