STURGEON BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A Door County business is supporting its fellow Wisconsinites in the Fox Valley after a devastating tornado.
On Monday, an EF-3 tornado ripped through Appleton, Menasha and Neenah, severely damaging homes, businesses and power poles.
As part of Door County Candle Company‘s Support a Cause candle line, a Wisconsin Strong candle is now available to purchase.
The warm vanilla-scented candles are being sold for $29.95. All proceeds will go directly to disaster relief efforts and help those impacted by the devastating tornado.
When the storms rolled through Wisconsin today, they were truly frightening. Watching the devastation unfold in the Menasha, Appleton and Neenah communities has broken our hearts. As fellow Wisconsinites, we believe in standing by our neighbors in times of need, and we wanted to find a meaningful way to help. Together, we can make a difference and stand with our Wisconsin neighbors.
In the past, the Support a Cause line has supported recovery efforts for Jamaica’s Hurricane Melissa victims, Texas floods, Maui wildfires, Hurricanes Helene and Milton, the California wildfires, and many more. It all started four years ago when the Ukrainian-American woman-owned business began selling blue and yellow candles with 100% of profits going to support Ukraine after the Russian invasion.
