APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — One person was injured in a shooting early Sunday morning in Appleton.
According to the Appleton Police Department, it happened around 1:45 a.m. at Arbutus Park.
Upon arrival, authorities located a teenager with a gunshot wound.
Officials say the victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital.
A preliminary investigation determined the shooting was a targeted incident involving groups of people that were known to each other.
The investigation is ongoing.
