Justin Bacon (Brown Co. Jail)
GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The suspect in a stabbing attacked the woman because he believed she had beat her child, according to the criminal complaint.
Justin Bacon, 29, was charged Thursday with attempted first-degree intentional homicide and armed burglary for the incident Tuesday on Clay Street. Bacon is scheduled for an initial court appearance this afternoon.
According to the complaint, police were called to the residence about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday for a stabbing.
A witness told police Bacon “came inside the house through the living room and started saying (expletive), you hurt your kids, (expletive), you’re gonna die, (expletive) you’re already dead, you’re gonna die because you hurt your kids,” while he stabbed the woman in the chest, and then left the home.
Police asked the victim about the claim of abuse.
“Victim-1 stated that about two weeks prior she gave her twelve year old his first whopping, but that it was nothing over the top and went on to explain she will scream or holler at her kids, but she does not whoop them. She stated it was possible someone may have overheard her yelling at her kids at some point and thought that was happening,” the complaint states.
Police located and arrested Bacon, who said he had no knowledge of the incident.
According the compliant, the victim did not know Bacon prior to the stabbing. Bacon was visiting with the victim’s neighbor in their backyard when Bacon heard her yelling at her child.
Wisconsin Dept. of Corrections records show Bacon was released from prison May 13. He has prior convictions for first-degree recklessly endangering safety and other counts.
