Zurich Simmons (Wisconsin DOC)
GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A jury convicted a former Green Bay Correctional Institution inmate of repeatedly exposing himself to female staff members. Zurich Simmons was then sentenced to 2.5 years in jail.
After a two-day trial, Simmons, 48, was convicted Wednesday of 17 counts of lewd and lascivious behavior-exposing for incidents in 2023.
The sentence on the exposure cases will be served after his current sentence, court records show. Simmons has previous convictions for attempted sexual assault of a child and other charges.
The criminal complaint refers to as many as 89 conducts reports at the prison for such actions, but some were outside of the statute of limitations and were not charged.
In each case, female prison staff members reported Simmons would intentionally expose and touch himself when they were present, the complaint states.
