OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Marcus Norman pleaded not guilty Monday to an attempted homicide charge for allegedly stabbing a man who was with the mother of his children.
Trial is set for Nov. 10, court records show.
Norman, 41, faces five counts, including attempted first-degree intentional homicide, substantial battery, stalking, eluding police and obstruction for the Feb. 28 incident.
According to the criminal complaint, police were called to a hotel for a report of stabbing. The victim had wounds to his ear, neck, right calf and left leg. He needed five stitches in his right calf and nine in his left leg.
A woman told police Norman came to the hotel, pointed the knife at the victim and said, “You about to die” before attacking the man.
Norman fled the scene. Police used Flock cameras to locate him. After a chase, he was stopped and arrested.
Norman told police the victim had challenged him to a fight several days before. The victim told police Norman had previously threatened to shoot him, according to the complaint.
