(LEARFIELD) – Multiple reports indicate the Bucks want to shut down Giannis Antetokounmpo for the final 14 games of the regular season.
He’s resisting the idea.
Milwaukee is more than six games out of qualification for the NBA Play-In Tournament.
ESPN reports the two-time MVP is expected to be out for at least a week with his latest injury, suffered Sunday – a hyperextension and bone bruise.
Antetokounmpo has reportedly had multiple meetings with team management since then, and he is said to be adamant about wanting to return to the court.
Jazzing things up: The Milwaukee Bucks will face the Utah Jazz tonight.
The Bucks are 28-40 and 6 1/2 games out of the final NBA playoffs play-in tournament spot.
Utah is 20-49 and 2-8 in their last 10 games. The Bucks are also 2-8 in their last 10 games.
