Scott Huse (Langlade Co. Jail)
ANTIGO, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Half of a father-son pair of former church pastors convicted of child sexual assault was sentenced to eight months in jail.
Scott Huse, 67, pleaded no contest Monday to one count of third-degree sexual assault. Another 11 counts were dismissed. Huse was placed on the sex offender registry for 15 years, court records show.
Previously, his son, Travis Huse, was convicted of 12 counts and sentenced to 25 years in prison.
According to the Langlade County Sheriff’s Department, the allegations stem from incidents while the Huse family was involved with the Apostolic Worship Center and former Evergreen Christian Academy in Elton. The department describes the men as former United Pentecostal Church pastors.
