OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Oshkosh police and other agents executed a federal warrant at a residence Thursday morning in relation to federal narcotics and firearms violations.
Police worked with ATF’s Special Response Team and the Lake Winnebago Metropolitan Enforcement Group (LWAM) on the search warrant.
Oshkosh police could not say if anyone was arrested, but did say this was not a federal immigration operation.
Police wrote in part:
The presence of illegal drugs and drug dealers poses a threat to the health, safety, and well-being of our residents, drug overdoses are a threat to all of us. We will not tolerate the distribution, sale, or possession of illegal narcotics within our city. We will continue to work tirelessly, utilizing all available resources to identify and apprehend those individuals who engage in these destructive behaviors. We stand united with our community in the fight against drugs, ensuring Oshkosh remains a safe place for all.
Due to the federal court records being sealed, police say they are unable to provide further information at this time, including the location of the federal warrant.
