(BREWERS) – Coming off the excitement of a back-to-back-to-back division title, the Brewers are ready to carry that momentum into a new season filled with energy and optimism. With Spring Training just around the corner, Brewers baseball is once again top of mind, and the annual departure of the Crew’s Spring Training equipment truck on Tuesday, February 3, signals that the return of baseball is near. The countdown is officially on.
The team equipment truck will be loaded on Tuesday, February 3 on the Service Level at American Family Field. The truck will then depart for American Family Fields of Phoenix, the Crew’s Spring Training home, and arrive in Arizona on Saturday, February 7. Bernie Brewer and the Famous Racing Sausages® will be on hand to help pack the truck.
Approximately 20,500 baseballs, 1,000 baseball bats, 200 batting helmets, 2,000 shirts, 250 batting gloves, 400 batting practice jerseys, 200 game jerseys, 300 baseball pants, 500 pairs of socks, 20 cases of bubble gum and 60 cases of sunflower seeds will be among the items packed.
Pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report to Phoenix on Wednesday, February 11. The first full squad workout is slated for Tuesday, February 17.
