Fox Valley receiving federal grant aimed at making problem traffic areas safer

APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Making roads safer in the Fox Valley will be the focus of studies that are receiving more than $800,000 in federal grant money.

One of the studies will focus on the Highway KK (Calumet Street) corridor that connects Kaukauna and Appleton through Buchanan and Harrison.

Another study will focus on roads in Appleton.

The goal of the studies will be to reduce serious injuries and fatalities on the roads.
