(LEARFIELD) – Wisconsin Badgers coach Greg Gard assessed the state of his team on Tuesday in preparation for Thursday’s game against Penn State.
Gard said that his team has competed harder and become more physical, taking offense to other teams scoring.
He said that good things happen when you play hard.
Gard noted that John Blackwell who was named the Big Ten Player of the Week has has committed to changing his body in the offseason and it’s paying off.
Additionally, Gard said that Nolan Winter is starting to play like the player Gard thought he could be.
Gard said that his guys have continued to put the work in to get better even when the coaches aren’t watching.
Thursday’s game at Penn State is scheduled to tip off at 6 p.m.
