OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A pet dog is unaccounted for and presumed deceased after a house fire in Oshkosh.
Crews were dispatched around 6:45 p.m. Sunday to 924 W. 10th Avenue for a possible structure fire.
When firefighters arrived, they saw visible smoke and flames on all four sides of the two-story wood framed home.
The residents were not home at the time of the fire and the family dog is unaccounted for and presumed deceased.
The home sustained heavy smoke and fire damage.
Oshkosh Fire issued a special thank you to Jeff’s on Rugby for allowing occupants a warm place to gather during this emergency and extreme cold weather.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
