GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — One of Green Bay’s most well known restaurants is for sale.
Kroll’s East has been serving up butter burgers and chili since 1935.
Ownership confirmed the Main Street restaurant is being sold after realtor Zaid Jazrawi, of Zaid Realty KWGB, posted a sneak peek of the listing on social media. The realtor indicated the official listing will be coming soon.
Jazrawi says the restaurant will be listed for $850,000 with the name and all of the equipment – $750,000 without.
The business will continue to operate normally until a committed buyer is found.
Kroll’s East and Kroll’s West, across from Lambeau Field, have different owners.
According to the restaurant’s website, Harry and Caroline Kroll started Kroll’s but sold it to Harry’s sister and her husband, Isabel Kroll Schauer and Dick Schauer, in 1945. The restaurant remained in the Schauer family ever since.
A member of the family says they want to wait until a buyer is found before participating in a story. The restaurant was originally located in the Town of Preble before Preble became part of Green Bay.
