(WTAQ-WLUK) — The Green Bay Packers are making a big move ahead of the post-season race.
The Packers claimed CB Trevon Diggs off waivers from the Dallas Cowboys wednesday. That’s according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.
Although Green Bay hasn’t officially confirmed the news, Micah Parsons — one of Diggs’ former defensive teammates in Dallas who is now with the Packers — made a telling social media post that reads, “We’re back….”

Diggs, 27, is in his sixth year in the league. He’s a two-time Pro Bowler who earned All-Pro honors in 2021 — a season in which he had an NFL-high 11 interceptions, in addition to a pair of them returned for touchdowns. Since then, he’s struggled with injuries and has played in only 21 games over the last three years.
This season, Diggs has played in just eight games for the Cowboys. He has 25 tackles and no interceptions so far this season.
Diggs still has to pass his physical before he can officially become a member of the Packers.
And with the status of the Packers’ two injured quarterbacks still up in the air, Green Bay signed fourth-year QB Desmond Ridder to the practice squad. He has formally served as the starter for the Atlanta Falcons and Las Vegas Raiders.
