APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — An 82-year-old man is dead after a vehicle collided with a building in Appleton on Tuesday morning.
At approximately 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, officers were dispatched to a business in the 800 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue in Appleton for a reported crash. Authorities were informed that a vehicle had struck the rear of the building “and that a male was slumped over the wheel.”
The elderly driver was unresponsive and not breathing when crews arrived. He was wearing a do-not-resuscitate bracelet and died at the scene.
At this time, police believe the driver may have suffered a medical event while driving, thus leading to the crash.
No people or other vehicles were hit or injured. An investigation is ongoing.
