GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The ringleader of a Chicago-to-Green Bay drug ring was sentenced Monday to 40 years in prison.
Felton Currie was previously convicted of 15 charges, including 10 of fentanyl delivery.
He was also placed on extended supervision for 30 years by Judge Samantha Wagner.
Currie was one of seven people charged last summer, and had the most counts filed against him.
Five search warrants were executed in Brown County, and a simultaneous search of the stash house in Chicago yielded 12 kilograms (26 pounds) of fentanyl, four kilograms (nine pounds) of cocaine, 748 grams (1.6 pounds) of meth, 460 grams (one pound) of heroin, 16 guns and some marijuana.
Prosecutors have since said this case was Wisconsin’s first wiretap investigation for fentanyl and at least 47 people are facing charges.
