APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Local police and U.S. Marshals arrested three people for sex-related offenses in the past week.
Appleton police say and Michael L. Walls, 51, a 33-year-old man and a wanted sex offender were all arrested on Oct. 14.
Online court records show Walls faces a count of second-degree sexual assault of a child for an alleged incident in Outagamie County on Oct. 13. He is due back in court on Friday.
The 33-year-old man faces six counts, including first-degree sexual assault of a child – intercourse with person under 12, repeated sexual assault of the same child and incest charges. Because of the incest charges, WTAQ is not releasing his name to protect the identity of the victim. Court records indicate the alleged crimes took place in Calumet County in 2023. He is due in court Nov. 4.
Police say the third suspect was a wanted sex offender who had been evading arrest. Police did not release that suspect’s name.
