Fox Valley roofing contractor faces over $140,000 in fines for alleged OSHA violation. PC: Fox 11 Online
(WTAQ-WLUK) — An Appleton paper products manufacturer faces citations after federal investigators say an employee lost the tips of two fingers in machinery.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration cited Progressive Converting with three repeat, 13 serious and three other than serious violations.
The citations allege Progressive Converting failed to properly guard machinery, did not have energy control procedures and did not properly train employees.
Proposed fines total $280,110.
The company has 15 business days to pay the fine, request a conference with OSHA or contest the findings.
