LA CROSSE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Preliminary autopsy results show no foul play in the death of a Hortonville High School graduate, La Crosse police say.
On Friday, the police department say they do not believe there was any criminal conduct related to Eliotte Heinz’s death.
Heinz’s body was recovered from the Mississippi River Wednesday, days after she was last seen walking about 17 minutes from where her body was found. The 22-year-old Hortonville native was attending Viterbo University in La Crosse.
The final autopsy results will not be complete for several months.
