Green Bay Packers
GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Green Bay Packers have once again seen an increase in revenue.
The organization — the NFL’s only publicly owned franchise — made this announcement Wednesday during its annual financial meeting at Lambeau Field, which was the same day as the Packers’ first day of training camp.
During the 2025 fiscal year, which ran from April 2024 to March 2025, the Packers’ total revenue was nearly $720 million. That’s an increase of almost 10% from last year.
Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy says this is because they’ve had back-to-back tenure collective bargaining agreements.
However, the team’s net income from 2024 to 2025 went down nearly 13%, from $98.1 million to $85.6 million.
The Packers saw big increases in their national and local revenues. Nationally, the team took in $30.3 million more than in 2024. This is credited to growth in national TV deals and moving more towards streaming.
Locally, the Packers brought in $286.4 million — a 13.7% jump from the year prior. Murphy says this is mainly because they had nine regular season home games for the first time ever.
He’s happy to be able to retire on a high note.
“I think to say that the organization is in better position than when I started, and I think any leader or any CEO wants to be able to say that. I know Bob Harlan did the same thing, and he left the organization in great shape,” Murphy said.
Murphy went on to say investments in Lambeau Field, the Packers’ facilities and the Green Bay community over the years have led to continued financial success for the Packers.
Here’s a deeper breakdown of the numbers:
The Packers’ profits from operations rose 39.3% for the 2025 fiscal year, thanks largely to the record $432.6 million it received in national revenue from the NFL. Each of the NFL’s 32 teams received $432.6 million from the NFL, which mainly comes from the league’s TV contracts.
“I continue to be amazed by the popularity of the NFL and the league office’s ability to generate revenue,” Murphy said. “It’s impressive. A big part of it obviously is TV. How people watch TV is changing dramatically. NFL games and athletics or sports in general are the few things people watch live anymore.”
The Packers’ national revenue climbed 7.5%, from $402.3 million to $432.6 million. Their local revenue rose 13.7%, from $251.8 million to $286.4 million, as they benefited from having a ninth regular-season home game for the first time.
