GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A public meeting will be held this month for community members to share their ideas for the future of a historic Green Bay park.
“St. John’s Park has served our community for generations. As we develop a comprehensive master plan, we want to hear what amenities, activities and experiences people would like to see in this downtown green space over the next 10, 20 and 50 years,” said Green Bay Parks Director Dan Ditscheit in a news release.
The meeting is set for July 23 from 6-8 p.m. in the second floor council chambers at City Hall, located at 100 N. Jefferson Street.
Attendees will:
- Learn about the master-planning timeline and opportunities for involvement
- Review existing park conditions and preliminary concept ideas
- Share priorities for recreation, environmental enhancements, cultural events, accessibility and overall park character
Anyone interested in the park’s future — whether that be residents, businesses, community groups or park users — is invited to attend.
“Public feedback will guide everything from playgrounds and gardens to gathering spaces and public art,” Ditscheit said in the release. “Whether you live next door or visit downtown occasionally, your voice matters.”
A short online survey is open and will remain available for one week after the meeting, for those unable to attend in person.
