(WTAQ-WLUK) — A man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for stalking a woman in Fond du Lac County.
Authorities announced Zackery Olson’s sentence in a news release Wednesday. He will spend 14 years on extended supervision following his release from prison.
Olson, 37, is a resident of Waukesha County. He was convicted by a Fond du Lac County jury in February on 16 charges, including stalking, violating an injunction, telephone harassment and bail jumping.
“The defendant stalked and terrorized this woman for years and she showed incredible courage in testifying at trial to hold him accountable,” Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney said in the release. “He will now spend the next 15 years in prison and should serve as a warning to anyone that seeks to stalk, harass, or intimate women. You will be held accountable.”
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office investigated this case with assistance from the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office.
