TWO RIVERS, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A 23-year-old man was arrested after crashing his vehicle into a house in Two Rivers.
Police say they were called to the 2700 block of River Lane just after 10 p.m. Wednesday. They determined the driver lost control at the T intersection of Washington and 27th streets, about half a block away. The vehicle then went over the curb and hit the house.
The passenger, a 32-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver Christopher Conard, was treated at the hospital and then booked into jail, with police recommending he be charged with operating while intoxicated, second offense, causing injury; reckless driving causing great bodily harm; and bail jumping. Formal charges have not yet been filed.
Conard had a court appearance Thursday, where a $2,500 cash bond was set. He returns to court Monday for a formal initial appearance.
