(WTAQ-WLUK) — Authorities are searching for a convicted sex offender who allegedly cut off his GPS monitoring device.
In a Facebook post Tuesday, the Green Bay Police Department said it is assisting the Wisconsin Department of Corrections in locating Andy L. Stewart, 28, for an outstanding warrant. It is believed Stewart cut off his electronic tracking device.
Online court records show Stewart was convicted in Brown County in 2015 of the following charges:
- 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of Child
- 2 counts of Exposing Genitals
- 2 counts of 4th Degree Sexual Assault
- Disorderly Conduct
Again in Brown County, in 2018, Stewart was convicted of the following charges:
- Intimidate Victim/Threaten Force
- Expose Child to Harmful Material
- False Imprisonment
Three other charges were dismissed as part of a plea agreement, but “read in” to be considered during sentencing:
- Strangulation and Suffocation
- 1st Degree Child Sexual Assault – Intercourse with Person under 16 – Use/Threat of Force/Violence
- 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of Child
Stewart is listed as a sex offender on the Wisconsin Department of Corrections’ registry.
